Fitness Studio Challenges, Achievements + Milestones | Arketa

Your rules, your badges, your brand

Upload your own badge art, choose what counts (in-person, livestream, video library, or private sessions), limit by location or class type, and manage participants right down to the leaderboard. Available with the Arketa Branded App and Marketing Suite.

3 ways to gamify your studio's classes

Challenges

Time-bound competitions in your app. Clients join in one tap, get put in a group chat with other participants, earn badges, and climb a live leaderboard until the set time runs out.

Achievements

Badges you can design yourself with reward streaks like one class a week for 4 weeks, or goals with a deadline. You set what the requirements are to earn the badge; Arketa does the tracking and rewarding.

Milestones

Lifetime badges such as the 100 Class Club. Arketa also celebrates every client's 10th, 50th, and 100th class with an automatic congratulations email and notification via the Branded App.

Little wins clients want to collect

The moment a client earns a badge, they get a push notification and a celebration in your app. Earned badges shine in their collection, locked ones wait dimmed.

Retention you can schedule

A Challenge turns a slow month into an event. Launch it, watch the leaderboard do your re-engagement for you, and sell Challenge-exclusive class packs that only participants can buy.

Three Challenges you could launch this month

The attendance goal

"Complete 3 classes a week this month." Simple, clear, and it works for any studio.

The seasonal push

New year, back to school, summer. A simple push gives clients a reason to join and stay motivated.

The format grower

"Attend 8 reformer classes in 6 weeks." Point a Challenge at the class type you want to fill.

Frequently asked questions

What are Challenges?

Challenges are time-bound competitions that run in your studio's app: clients enroll, earn badges for hitting activity goals, chat with other participants, and compete on a leaderboard. Studios use them to drive attendance in a specific window, like a New Year kickoff or a slow-month push.

What's the difference between Challenges, Achievements, and Milestones?

A Challenge is a competition with a start date, an end date, a leaderboard, and its own group chat. An Achievement is a badge clients can earn any time, like a 7-week streak. Milestones are the lifetime kind, like the 100 Class Club. They work together: a Challenge's goals are built from Achievement badges.

Do my clients need the Branded App to join Challenges?

Yes, Challenges and Achievement badges live in your Branded App, which is where clients track progress, chat, and see the leaderboard. Milestone celebrations still reach everyone: Arketa automatically emails clients a congratulations at their 10th, 50th, and 100th class, app or no app.

Can prospective clients see my Challenges before joining my studio?

Yes. Anyone browsing your app can view your active Challenges, and tapping Join prompts them to create an account. A public leaderboard and a visible community make your studio's culture part of the sales pitch.

What kinds of Achievements can I create?

Three types: Milestones (lifetime counts, like the 100 Class Club), Streaks (consistency, like one class a week for 7 weeks), and Commitments (a goal with a deadline, like 30 classes between January and March). You choose what counts: in-person, livestream, video library, or private sessions / appointments, and can limit by location or class type.
